Why kANSO

“Kanso” is one of the seven basic principles of zen - focusing on achieving clarity and peace through simplicity and elimination of clutter. I kept these principals in mind when developing Kanso Realty; with the goal to bring this concept to my clients to make the home buying and selling process straightforward and simple.

After years of working with an international brokerage, I soon found myself more beholden to the needs of the corporation rather than those of my clients.  With a background focused on service, I was always at odds with this dichotomy.  The requirements of the corporation were a huge distractions from what I loved about real estate, the people, and they almost never translated to the level of service I wanted to provide. And so, I was driven to develop a brokerage that better embodied my own values; removing the clutter and focusing on the needs of and relationships built with clients.

Kanso Realty’s values are designed to embody the concept of Kanso as defined by the principals of Zen; with our own touch. We understand buying or selling a home is a daunting and stressful process, often leaving you with a dozen things to tackle in any given day. That’s why we focus on handling the unnecessary noise and simplifying the process for our clients. From the onset of our relationship to the very end of the transaction, our values are simplicity, communication, and collaboration, in order to provide the most seamless experience for you. Simply, our job is to handle the things you shouldn’t have to, and allow you to focus on what the future brings.

Providing peace of mind for my clients in a straight-forward and clear manner is something that I have built my career on, whether it be first time buyers with paralyzing anxiety or seasoned investors who just want the facts.
